Blue Apron

So I don't know about you guys but Ry and I love cooking together. He's an expert chopper - chopping onions to me is the worst thing ever- and we always like to try new things.

Here's the problem- our version of trying new things is instead of baking the chicken breast, we'll put it on the stove. Or instead of goat cheese, let's try feta. No matter how hard we try, we can't seem to get out of our routine of basic meals.

I always thought the delivery and pre-paid meals were too expensive but when my friend Carly sent me a coupon for Blue Apron & we basically got three meals for free, Ry and I had to try it.

Four months later we're totally hooked.

Basically how it works is you get three meals (with all of the ingredients except salt, pepper and olive oil) for $60 (if you don't have any coupons) and it is set up for every week. Usually it's a chicken dish, seafood and then some sort of meat but you can go online and select from two other options as well (they always have vegetarian options). It's not exactly in our budget for every week so Ryan goes in and declines it weekly. You can't set it up to deliver monthly but it's really not that much of a hassle to do it yourself.

My parents on the other hand ALWAYS go out. So we got them hooked and they now get three meals, every week and they love it! It forces them to stay in and ultimately save money and on top of that, trying so many different things that they never would've made.

Blue Apron has a promotion that if you sign up, you get $30 off your first order so I say try it out! If nothing else, it's something fun to do together!

P.S. This is not sponsored- I'm just obsessed.
