Gigi New York on Sunday Date Night

~ Shirt: Express (old, similar here)  /  White Jeans: Lord & Taylor (similar here and here)  /  Shoes: Jack Rogers (these are next on my list)   /   Lip: Laura Mercier   /  Bag: Gigi New York  ~

This past weekend I spent all day Saturday in front of a computer screen. I have been doing freelance work for Dwyer High School's football team so had about 3500 photos to go through, edit, and post galleries. Needless to say, when Sunday came around, a date night sounded like an awesome plan.

I just got this Gigi New York bag from an Instagram giveaway- yes people really do win those!- and I'm obsessed with it! I've been on the hunt for a shoulder bag like this one and wanted a neutral one so that I could pair it with multiple outfits (although I'm obsessed with this color ). Not only is it cute, especially with the tassel, but I feel like with the clutches I have, you always compromise on space. You fit your phone, ID, a $20 bill and your lip gloss and you wonderful husband carries anything else. With this Gigi New York bag, I literally fit everything in here without a problem! It also doesn't feel like I'm carrying a big bulky tote with me.

Okay, I'll stop now but it is just so great. I've been watching the audition video for Grace Van der Wal- America's got talent anyone?- because she's so amazing and Heidi Klum's top knot inspired me to try it for our date night. I opted for white jeans because they're my favorite and this blue tank because as much as I love fall clothing, I also love not sweating profusely and it's still 90 degrees down here in South Florida.

Ry and I went to Kabuki for dinner- one of our go-to sushi spots 1) because their happy hour deals are top notch and 2) because if you're not eating off the happy hour menu, their specialty rolls are, you guessed it, top notch.

It was the perfect little escape before I delved back into the life that is photo editing- the newest shoot is up on my photography blog today btdubs :)

Hope you guys have a good weekend!
