Beach Day + 10 Things

~   Swimsuit: Macy's  (it's seriously so comfy and under $100- they also have it in a colorful pattern) //   Shorts: Banana Republic  //  Sunglasses: Steve Madden (old, similar here)

Hi everyone! These photos are from a beach day Ry and I had a while back that I'm just getting around to posting- whoops. But I wanted to do a little post that has 10 things about me that you guys didn't know. We're up here telling you about shoes and food and all of that fun stuff, but I wanted to make sure to tell you some fun stuff also. Let me know if you like it!

  1. I am a native Floridian (despite how pale I am)
  2. I danced for 10 years when I was younger- tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical- and there are days where I definitely miss it
  3. One year I danced in the Orange Bowl when Ciara performed- I actually thought it was the coolest thing of all time until we saw the costumes- jumpsuits that were white on the front and lime green on the back. Not cool.
  4. I clean when I'm stressed- I clean when I'm not stressed also, but if I feel stressed or overwhelmed, let me tell ya- our apartment comes out sparkling
  5. Ry almost cancelled our first date because the Detroit Tigers were in the play-offs. I said it was cool and we could watch the game and now I can never get the Tigers off in my household- walked into that one I guess.
  6. I clearly have not mastered the awkward solo photo for the blog- that's the reason I'm usually taking the photos
  7. When I was little, I wanted to be a wedding dress designer (still think that would be cool, not gonna lie.)
  8. I'm hoping that within two years, I'll be running my own photography business photographing weddings and families :)
  9. I talk to my mom every single day (not unusual if it's multiple times a day)
  10. I never thought I would like blogging until I started and now I love it! I know we don't have a lot of followers but it's so fun to write your own story and get to share it in a creative way :)

the outlaw,

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter every bunny!

Maddie, here! We just got home from celebrating another holiday together in Tarpon Springs, FL, except this time, my friends got to come along! One 13 hour 47 minute drive later, we were living it up under the sunshine and we only got lost in the Gulf on our paddle boards once. After our first day in the sun, I was complaining about a headache and I accidentally said, "I have a headache from squinting at the sun and laughing too hard." Wow, Maddie, what a hard life you lead. It became the quote of the week, to say the least.

I have always thought it would be hilarious to have a best friend photo shoot. When your sister is a professional, you kinda get spoiled (Thank you, Christine). She did an awesome job capturing our favorite moments of the weekend, including our dance-session on the island (4 of us are in the same "Dance Sport" class at Xavier, so we got some practice in for our big recital).

Some other favorite moments of the weekend:

  • Many ping-pong matches - reigning champion, Olivia Hurst
  • Shafer's baseball game and Thomas' track meet - Shafer has a walk-on song that made us all laugh. Thomas ran the 4x400 for the first time and his team placed! We couldn't make it to the meet, so dad facetimed us in. We were all screaming and cheering for him from the car, it was hilarious. Dad made my friends run with Thomas to the beach for some practice, classic.
  • S'mores and campfire, during which Ryan entertained us with his icebreaker questions
  • Getting caught in the current on our paddle boards and having to swim them home... Abby and I made a great team.
  • Helping mom cook Easter dinner, and spearing Peeps in the process, with Abby commentating in the background lol

Thanks for viewing!

"You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this." Acts 3:15
"With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all." Acts 4:33

Just Another Sister,

Julie Vos Bracelets

Months ago I won these beautiful bracelets from Julie Vos and Jen from Haute Off The Rack, and I'm still wearing them whenever I can! I'm wearing the Milano 6-Stone Bangle in pearl and the Penelope Open Bangle. They stack perfectly together and give any outfit the added glam it needs. You better believe I'll have them on for Easter mass. What are your Easter plans?

The favorite,
